Hi Everyone I was wondering if anyone knows what is the best way to clean pre finished wood floors? I have used vinegar/water mix and swiffer wet jet for wood floors and the floors looks like it has a haze look when dry. My one customer insists on using the vinegar/ water way because that's what the builder said to use but like I said it leaves a hazy look and then I have to buff dry with a dry mop to make it look good which is a pain and takes more time. Any help would be appreciated Thanks

I don't usually recommend store-bought products, but there is something you can buy specifically for cleaning hardwood floors. I've used it in the past, and it worked pretty good. You just add it to the mop water. Unfortunately I can't remember the name. But there may even be something commercial available, I'm not sure. One other thing I've noticed, is that you MUST use a clean mop. I don't mean using a new one every time, but make sure to rinse it very, very well after each use, don't use it on anything else, or with any other cleaners, and replace it more often than you usually would. Also make sure you're using a good quality synthetic mop, not a cotton one. And keep it as dry as possible when mopping. You won't be able to cover as much floor with each "dunk" in the bucket, but you'll have less film.
