.35 per sq ft. Ask them if they can prep or atleast put things back just explain that the finish has to "cure" & it would be best to not place things back on it until they come in on Mon. or whatever.
Be ready for the finish to come up in a dark thick slurry from hair dyes, hairsprays etc
do small sections at a time & rinse well.

And... hair, hair, hair. Brian ain`t kidding when he says rinse well. You will surely want a wetvac to suck up the slop, plan on waiting for the floor to dry thouroughly, then doing another sweep or vac.

I don't like doing hair salons. If you do , You will or should have a dedicated mop for the regular maintenace because of getting hair in it. You also should vacuum all edges, trim and even floor itself before stripping and even then some hair will probably be in the finish. Also squeegie off the final rinse before applying finish. If you use any type of fan be sure to use it on low. Any air movement might blow hair off of shelves, counters and so on. I also throw away all mop heads used to strip a beauty shop. It is almost impossible to get all the hair out and I don't want to take a chance on the hair getting on the floor on the next strip job I do.
With the prices going up on everything I am also going up on prices. I would probably charge .40 to .50 a foot if they move everything out and they move everything back in. YOu don't want to spend all that time on moving stuff. The way I get them to do it is to charge them a lot extra. Probably on this I would say it will be an extra $150 to $300 to move items depending on how much there is to move. If they think that is high just have them call a moving company and see what they would charge to move the stuff out and back in later. I would say that 90% of the time we move nothing on strip jobs. The time it takes to move stuff out and in can kill you on your labor time. So my goal is to never have to move anything. Be to sure to tell them that it is possible that there may be a few hairs that get in the finish but you will do everything possibe to try to keep that from happening.

I bid the job at $580.00 for the strip and wax. $290.00 for the maintenance once a month. What do you think?

Stripping price sounds good but the maint sounds way high. It should only take an hour or less to do the maintenance. I would mop and buff for around $60. Unless they want you to remove everything for the maint. Other things may cause a varience in price such as how far you have to drive to get to it .

I bid it high because they want all furniture moved and buffed and the floor seeps tile glue. The lady is very picky. It will have to be vacuumed every time.
