We are going to start offering window washing since one of my residential customers had a company come and do her windows when I was cleaning and they charged $5.00 per side, and $1.00 per screen. I was wondering how you count a sliding doorwall. Is that counted as one or two windows? Or do you charge by each framed pane?

We charge by the pane, and once you or your staff get good doing windows. Size hardly matters.

Through recessions, boom years, slow home building years, etc. etc, this window cleaning business will always be an in-demand business filled with customers who refuse to clean their own glass and won't hesitate to hire professionals to do it for them. This business year in and year out will continuously be a profit generating machine.

Is $10/window a fairly reasonable rate in most areas?

In Michigan.. for residential inside and out with ladder work that is pretty fair.
