Hi,
How does temp help work? My business partner and I have had mostly small jobs that we can do on our own or have family members help us. In hopes of getting some larger jobs we may need to get temps to help us. How does payment to them work? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Good question! There is some exciting news lately for temp help companies, there are also I`m sure some non-profit temp help groups in your area. Hiring temp workers for specific jobs now is extremely profitable. All workers comp, employment taxes, wages..etc is paid by the temp company. You hold an escrow account with them, let`s say your labor charges are going to be $2000 per month. You keep your 2k with them, they write the checks as needed. Some do not require any escrow, and you pay as you go. Now if it is a temp company that is a non-profit. An example here is one that is working with and providing jobs to mentally impaired, they normally give you a free manager that goes to each job with. Actually driving your new staff to each location and watching over the work. They also provide handouts which you can provide in your proposal that explain the entire process. In turn all your doing is getting contracts, supplying labor and supervising their supervisor. Make sure to check the references of the non-profit your dealing with, there should also be no objections to you taking a tour of a facility there staff is cleaning, meeting who the mananger will be, etc..
