Hello guys,
I would like to ask you two questions in this message.
1) I have different accounts, some of them are 5-6 days a week, some are 3 days a week and I also have a few very small ones that I do 1 or 2 times a week.
Sometimes big holidays (like Thanksgiving) fall on the day I'm supposed to clean. Well, speaking about small accounts (1-2 days per week), I will call the account and we will pick some other date when I will come and clean. Speaking about bigger accounts (3-6 days per week), if the holiday falls on the day of cleaning, I don't come to the account, don't work some other day instead of that holiday, but I still get paid for the day.
At some point I got a call from one 3 days per week account and manager said that if I didn't work during Labor Day, will it influence my monthly invoice somehow. I told him that no it won't because in the agreement he signed there is a stable monthly rate he has to pay me.
Can you tell me how do you deal with situations like that (holidays), what is you policy.
2) Another question is about school. I am bidding on private school. It is a catholic school, it has many holidays and it's working 180 days a year. It is not difficult to come to the price per year. But on most of my other accounts I usually divide my yearly price by 12 and give them price for month. In case with this school, I can't divide this price by 12, because we won't be working 1,5 month during summer, also each month will be different, they will have some big holidays in winter and spring.
I was thinking about dividing yearly price by 10, excluding summer months. Also I could count days I worked each month and bill only for the days I worked. In this case price will be different each month and it seems not right.
Can you advise me in what format I should submit the price?
Thank you,
Terry
