We cleaned a property management move out about a week ago. We used our Powr-Flite heated extractor with Powr-Xtract as spotter and OxyClean as solution. This combo has worked great so far.... OK, the carpet in question is only 9 months old, a very light beige, and CHEAP. It had never been cleaned. Less than a week after cleaning spots appeared on the carpet that WERE NOT THERE before we cleaned it appeared. Is it possible that the landlord laid cheap carpet over the old pad and our machine actually pulled the stains up from it to the carpet? Has this ever happened to anyone else? I am perplexed!

I have seen this happen on a screwed up biohazard job, where a blood stain soaked into padding, the first company tried to save costs and did not remove padding, it eventually dried, then we do carpet cleaning a year later and riased a blood stain, and this was a huge dilemma because it freaked out the property owner, thinking it was a sign from her passed husband!

Sounds like something called "whicking" where stains are pulled from padding & appear as it dries. This happend to us & we had success with a product from DSC called Spin Vac. We also use this product to do encapsulation cleaning. You pre treat carpet spots with this & use a brush on your floor machine to agitate the area. As it dries, it crystalizes the dirt or stain & it is removed after vacuuming ( twice for us?) hope that helps???

Sounds good... I am not aware of this product. Can you be more specific, like where can I buy, URL, or something? Thanx a bunch!
