A local pawn shop is selling a Castex heated carpet extractor. Has 450 hrs. but looks pretty clean. I downloaded operator & parts manual, seems pretty basic. They want $600.00 2 wands, new hoses, Casters OK. vacuum seems good, pump motor OK, Pump? Retails for $3,400.00. I thought I could use it on small jobs instead of renting. Even if I put in 400 or $500.00 seems like a good deal. Anyone deal with Castex before? Sorry for all the whining lately. Rusty

Sounds like a great deal. The wands could be worth half that price by their self. Castex is a pretty good brand. It is a higher costing brand than some others and parts will be fairly high.

Hey Dan, I think I'll go over today and pick it up. I have been wanting to take carpet tech. classes. I wanted to take some Bane-Clean classes, but after hearing you talk about Interlink, did some research and they have a store here close by, $299.00 for class is well worth the investment. Rusty
