I want to thank everybody for the knowledge we have gained in the past year and a half, in my last post my Dr. Put me out of work, stating I needed back Surgery, well it has been 3 weeks now and the pitty party is over. I have had several contractors take over my janitorial and maintenance accounts, that was truly rough. Someone once told me that with every closed door another will open, and it has. For the past two weeks calls have been pouring in..from families dealing with Childhood Cancer needing a helping hand through the holidays! We have been funding our convictions with our own cash, but could truly now use some help from our peers. My wife is President of www.Alexsbutterflynet.org if there is any way you could see fit to help us in our mission, please check out her website, check out the donations page and help out in any way that you can, currently there are approximately 68 children who will be spending Christmas in the hospital in our local area.... should you feel you can help us pay it forward, send checks or money orders to: alexs butterfly net po box 6392 Brunswick, Maine 04011

This all true Bill, it seems that in larger accounts the contact person has never seen the job specs but never assume this is coincidence rather truly the norm.I guess the project managers think this is a way to push more for their money its called plausible denie ability that will only affect your bottom line if you think this tactic is an accident rather than the norm.

:'(When it rains it pours. Have too many jobs when not enough staff and when you have adequate staff, there is nary a job to be had. The contact person has never looked at the specifications but is always the one complaining. The cost of the client doing business always warrants an increase, you must never experience an increase in costs because you can't raise your prices. The great deal on assets or inventory always comes along when the cash doesn't. Bill

things that determine how long a pad will last the shape the floor tiles are in, if uneven, rpm of the machine and dirt left on floor to the type of finish or buffing spray you use the machine you are buying is a high speed 20 buffer so you should not need a buffing spray.its trial and error but a pad can be used until it is to thin to arch enough around the pad holder the pad holder should indent the pad so it does not hit the floor if you stay away from runners, furniture legs, mop boards the edges of the pad will last longer

looks to be the right fit if you buy it try using all natural hogs hair pads they seem to last longer on smaller jobs and would fit in your green purchasing program.

their are thousands of free postings on the wed here is one that may help.the best thing to do is ask your boss to run you through their company hazard awareness program as we all have an obligation to our clients and employees through several right to know laws in the u.s.my suggestion is to educate your self if you boss is experiencing growing Paine's and cutting costs www.scripps.edu/researchservices/ehs/generalsafety/facilities/nfpa.html

Hazard symbols in the work place I truly need to agree with bill on this one chemical reactions and flash points their are chemicals for instance chemicals witch when mixed with water can explode to alcohol and methane that can be ignited just by the static you crate in the air when opening their containers. Here are some hazard symbols to help you along stay safe educate your self to go home the same way you went to work intact. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hazard_symbolFree poster get informed inform your employees stay safe don't play chemist safety is your concern www.ilpi.com/msds/ref/nfpa.htmlwww.cmpropertymaintenance

Stay Focused
Nothing will damage your business more than business myopia or short sightedness.. In order to stay successful, you must always keep an eye on your long term goals and objectives. You will hit rough spots but do not get bogged down in the present. Do not make this mistake. Instead keep your eyes on your target. Stay focused. Every decision, every cutback, every improvement you make now must be beneficial not only in the present but more importantly in the future. Think about this before you slash prices, fire employees, cut overhead, or lower your standards.
