I am currently doing apartment move out cleanings for a 240 unit apartment complex. When I started I was told I would get paid every 30 days and now it has been 2 months and no pay. I keep getting the run around. I have kept copies of all the invoices i have submitted. I have been trying to be nice about it but I cant pay my bills since they arent paying me. I had a bad feeling about this when I had been there about 4 weeks....they had these painters they hadnt paid in 2 months either and when the painters complained they were let go and they brought another painting crew in to replace them. They wound up owing the painters $16,000. At what point should I tell them that I want payment in full or else? Should I send them a nasty (yet professional) letter demanding full payment in 10 days or I will sue the crap out of them? I have patience a mile long but I am getting really pissed!

I gave a bid of $270. Does this sound about right?

I have an opportunity to bid on the cleaning the local Hutson John Deere store. The hours for the cleaning will be any time after closing, 5:00pm until 7am.I will be mopping and sweeping the front show room and information desk, cleaning 10 small offices, 1 break room, 2 short hallways and vacuuming 40% carpet. Looking at the job it looks approximately a 4-5 job. I was thinking of $30 an hour X 5 hours= $150. Does this amount sound right or too high? They want the building cleaned 3 days a week. Would I take $150 x 3=$450......or am I figuring wrong? How do I take into account 3 days a week of cleaning Please give me some idea of what sounds right to you. Thank you in advance!

Well, I got the job. She wants a very detailed cleaning (basic cleaning, plus all light fixtures, baseboards, all woodwork, inside windows and sills). I went with $180 as the quote and she was fine with that. I actually would have went much lower but she only wants me to come once a month. So I told her $180, then $130 a month after. I feel like she got a good deal. She does have an inside dog so I took that into consideration too. Even though the house is already very, very clean I will clean it exactly as she wants. Do you think I gave a fair price for the work involved?

It is in beautiful, pristine condition. Honestly, I dont think it needs the kind of cleaning she wanting me to do. Probably the worst part of the house is the window. I am doing the insides and sills.

I have a lady who wants me to give an estimate on a detailed cleaning. She has a 4 bedroom, 3 bath 2600 sq. ft home in decent shape. I was thinking of quoting her $228 for the first detailed cleaning and $138 each month thereafter (for basic cleaning after that). With the detailed cleaning I am doing the regular stuff, but am including inside windows and sills. If she wants inside and outside it will be $325 firm. Do you think I am quoting her a reasonable price? I got my prices from bidmycleaning.com. I am just starting out so I dont want to ruin this potential job by bidding too high.

How much would you charge to clean a 4 bedroom 2.5 bath, 2500 sq. ft. house? The house in question is a move out.I am just starting out in the cleaning business and I would like to know approximately how much I should quote to clean a house of this size. They want inside windows cleaned also. I don't want to quote too low or too high. What would you recommend for a fair estimate?

Wanted to know how much you guys would charge an apartment complex to clean move outs? I mean detailed cleanings....everything including windows, fridges, and ovens (all very time consuming). How would you price a 1 bedroom 1 bath, 2 bedroom 2 bath, or 3 bedroom 3 bath townhouse? I am very interested how you would price a detailed cleaning on an empty apartment vs. an occupied space where someone lives. Thank you in advance for your insight!
