Ok I just was curious about it some of my customers ask about green cleaning. Locally there is not much among my competitors. I am working on "recipes" for cleaning with baking soda vinegare etc.
Thank you.
Merry Christmas

I like the room method, Idaho seems to have either very high or very low prices so I am trying to land in the middle. Room/square foot bidding seem to be combined here and it is very hard to figure that way. I am leaning towards room number bidding!

I think I will stick with my current name. Just wanted some feed back as I am reading business books and testing some theory's out. I seem to be alright with my name as I had a shot at a big construction clean up, but as I can't afford insurance had to decline. They heard about me through referral and like the personal small business sound of my name.

I am thinking about changing my name from JR Cleaning to Kleaning Guy as I think it would be better for name recognition. I have had one response to JR Cleaning flyer, but just for side service-snow removal. As I am only into second week of operation open to comments!
Thanks John

My wife and I are both in this together. She is very supportive. My children even help with door hangers. my wife is my secretary and cheerleader! My two sons help me cover more ground, they do door hanging and I do knocking on doors and passing out flyers. I do telemarketing and my wife is the "live" voice when customer's call. My wife is a little nervous as its hard since we are in the very beginning stages of starting out. My immediate family is behind me 110%. My extenedned family is not too entusiastic, but thats how it's always been. In the long run I hope to have a truly family owned and operated business!

I have a local part time mentor, that is wonderful. But since she is closing down and available only occasionally I am still looking for am mentor with residential experience.
My only set back so far is I can not afford insurance yet. It is $375 and I will be getting asap. I am on a shoe string budget. I lost a construction job due to lakc of insurance so those that can afford it get it!
Thanks John Runer Thanks to TLC CLeaning for referrals
I too would like to thank Patti Page for her GREAT website!!!

I could use a mentor. JR Cleaning here. I am working on start up of Apartment and Residential service. I have some experience doing this part time, but now want to make it full time once I build enough clients. Marketing is my weak area! Service is my strong area.
Thanks!!

There are only two other window cleaning companies here in pocatello. One has a national membership in a window cleaning associaiton. The other has none and seems to be fairly new. Does anyone here hold certification for window cleaning? I have looked at the sthe forums in ijcsa and have not seen much for window cleaning training other than safety wasps nest ect.
Thanks!

Both; here in Idaho a small percentage of window washers have certification from window specific associations. I am wondering who if anyone has been certified and what certification IJCSA has as well.
How important is certification for someone who is not going to do high rise?
Thanks

Thanks for the ideas. I am really trying to see what works and what doesn't. I did find out I'm a lot cheaper for residential here than the only major window cleaning company. House I would do for $100 is $175 for someone else!
