I am a newbie. I have experience cleaning and got the biz together about a year ago and just getting started on the marketing and getting clients. So I am ready to soak up information like a sponge for someone!

I think I adopted someone already without knowing it! rrccs, James Roman of Jacksonville Florida. Unfortunately, because he is so far away and the economy is so different there in FL, I can only help so much. Perhaps someone from the state, a boardering state, but not the same service area could be a second mentor to James? I saw a post here from someone from Phoenix AZ or was it Flagstaff? I am willing to mentor another from my state.... as long as you are not in my service area. Conflict of interest you know! Email me at info@crowzclean.com anytime and I will share my 11 whole months of experience with you!

To PM someone to be your mentor, simply click on their screen/nickname in the left corner of the message frame then click "send personal message" on the header.... when the screen comes up, write your message and send. Or, from your message area, type in the screen/nickname (mine is crowzclean) and proceed. Also, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE finish filling our your profile! Especially your service area. This is absolutely necessary if we are to help you! A real name would be nice too. No one is going to spam you or steal your identity... I promise! I have been a member here since the beginning (April 2005), put in all my info., and have never had a problem.

I could use a mentor. JR Cleaning here. I am working on start up of Apartment and Residential service. I have some experience doing this part time, but now want to make it full time once I build enough clients. Marketing is my weak area! Service is my strong area.
Thanks!!

I have a local part time mentor, that is wonderful. But since she is closing down and available only occasionally I am still looking for am mentor with residential experience.
My only set back so far is I can not afford insurance yet. It is $375 and I will be getting asap. I am on a shoe string budget. I lost a construction job due to lakc of insurance so those that can afford it get it!
Thanks John Runer Thanks to TLC CLeaning for referrals
I too would like to thank Patti Page for her GREAT website!!!

save up the cash for the insurance. it's very important and companies won't think you are for real about doing business if you don't have it. make those 20 cold calls a day and play the number game. you should be getting at least 1 new contract a month which will pay for the insurance and bonding if you want it. make up some scripts w/ rebuttals so your answers to potential clients questions can be answered clearly and without hesitation making you look more credible.
