I am in the process of gathering information to start my commercial cleaning business. I have came across so much valuable information but one thing I cant find is a task list for office or new home construction cleaning. What services are involved with these types of accounts and what do the clients expect? I want a streamlined approach when going in to clean but its hard when you dont really know what the business actually requires. Could someone please, please send me a checklist or task list of duties that they perform when dealing with new homes or offices?

Lisa: I can forward you a standard list of specifications that we go over with the client that we are doing a quote for. However, EACH JOB IS GOING TO BE DIFFERENT, EACH CLIENT WILL WANT OR NEED DIFFERENT SPECIFICATIONS. Only use this for a guideline, you then need to gain experience and add on things like floor maintenance, window washing, carpet cleaning. and other add ons like wall washing, air diffuser cleaning, etc. that will add dollars to your contract. I will forward our standard list of specs. tomorrow, the 26th. of Apri.

I also have available on the website proposals for many different types of commercial jobs which includes a checklist. The checklist will go over all areas of the building and will ask if it will be done daily, weekly, biweekly, etc. The website is www.businessformsstore.comIf you are a member of this board, you get a 10% discount by going into the members area for the code. Hi Stacy, Thanks for the link. Does your post construction proposal package contain anything on exterior clean up? It seems that in my area this is done as a package, interior and exterior, no interior only's. Is this the same in other areas as well. Do most of you offer exterior clean up?

No, it only deals with the interior. What will you be doing exteriorly? Seems like that would be more of a power wash thing. It would be no big deal for me to work with you to add on the exterior. Stacy www.businessformsstore.comSupport, Guidance, Forms, Directory Listing

The exterior clean up consists of all broken brick, debris removal. Basically getting the outside area ready for sod. This requires a bobcat (little tractor) and an account with a waste management facility to deliver and pick up commercial dumpsters. I am going to look at your forms again. I may have to just take a guess and edit as I learn.

Hi, Would it be possible for you to send me a commercial task list too. I have been looking for something like that, and will be bidding on my first Dr.'s office next week. Thanks so much. Kathy

Cynmar, Was wondering if you could also send me a copy of that list. Right now I'm doing residential, but I really want to start getting into commercial also. How do you go about getting the job, and also charging. If anyone can give me some advice I would love it. Thanks Carla
