I am getting ready to bid on a new office area. Starting off they are looking for 1 day a week general cleaning. After January they want to go with 3 times per week. At this time they have no running water. I would have to carry water. I dont have the sq. ft. but from what I saw I am thinking around 1 1/2 hour per day 2 hours at the most.
15 windows inside/outside monthly (they slide up, not fold out) 7 offices 2 bathrooms (1 stall each) 2 bathrooms (2 stalls, 2 showers, small locker room) Mens have plus 2 urinals) Medium size break room Medium size conference room Large training room VCT through out except offices, carpeted
The drive is 40 minutes away. I was thinking $60.00 per week plus sales tax. We purchase cleaning supplies. For 3 times per week I am stuck. Not sure how to price. Should I charge less per cleaning for more days per week?
Thanks for help, Linda

Hi, I have the same question as Linda. If you give a bid of lets say 60.00 for once a week office cleaning, and then they ask how much for 3x or 5x a week, do you give them a break because of more frequent cleanings? Thank you, Kathy

not sure what i would add for bringng my own water but i have figured our production rate would increase with 3 day vs 1 day also 5 vs 3 so when asked for pricing on different scenarios like that i think you can go 10 % less for 3 day and 20 for 5day. so if the 1 day per week bid came in at $ 250 per month i can offer them 3 day per week service at $ 673 per month 5 day service at $ 998 per month And definitly show them how it pays to go with more days. The more you are there the better off you are & you start making nice money, you can offer more hours to employees making the job worthwhile etc

Well I went over everything again and I priced it on a 2 hour clean which brought the price down and will be turning it in tomorrow. We are starting to pick up quite a bit in the residential area and I am also getting calls for commercial so its been a bit hectic around here, not complaining. Definitely learning as I go, which is great in some ways, but scarey in other ways. I really hope to gain this account. Fingers crossed here
