Ok, you surely want something in writing. If we were doing the job, unless this contractor in charge of the construction was extremely professional and well to do, or if we have had or done work for this contractor in the past. It would be 50% upfront.
If this was a new contractor we never worked for we would do a full credit check, strong contract, and still require 50%
Construction companies are so fly by night, and notorios for not paying up, closing business and opening the next week as a new LLC.

See that is what I am worried about. I just got off phone and she said she faxed it and shes on phone with him now, but his fax is messing up. So is mine I have nothing in writing and I told her I havent received anything. Shes checking on it now. This is just making me really nervous, because I have others to worry about also. Sigh...

thats a HUGE HOUSE!how many days would it take 1 person to do an 8000 sq. ft. house you think?

Dont do anything with out a sign contract and make sure it says you will charge for everything you have to go back and clean. They understand that most of the time they will charge it to the contractor or make them clean it up. So dont worry about demanding it. They always pay for it.
