I was looking into an apartment to bid on and what caught my eyes was the stove and I like to know how to clean a stove that has not been clean for a long time and the burner plate is cake with burnt food that you scrub and scrub and still burnt. I like to give back its life or just run to the store and buy more burn plates. Thank You Jose

Most of the ovens today are self cleaning. Also don't use oven cleaner if this is a self cleaning oven, it will ruin it. If this is not a self cleaning oven, spray with oven cleaner let sit and later scrub really well with heavy duty scrubbing pad. We buy new burner plates and add to the price or clean the best you can and cover with aluminum foil. Hope this helps! Rusty

The complex I clean for replaces the drip pans for the stove. It seems to me they would be a lot less expensive to buy than waste time trying to get them clean. They are next to impossible to get clean. Ask the property manager if they replace them.
Good Luck! Wendy
