Last week I sent an employee to clean a house for the second time. When she arrived the wife was at work but the husband was there with another woman. They went into another area and put a do not disturb sign on the door. What would you do? Patti

I have been in this situation before. One thing I learned was to never believe anything you hear and only half of what you see Sometimes things aren't as they appear to be, sometimes they are. If you are uncomfortable with this situation then I would move on, but it is a private matter and I personally wouldn't get involved. You are there to do a job only. Sounds a bit harsh, but true. One rule I do have is while I am trying to do my job, no-one is to be home. I would rather be under surveillance (camera). IMHO, Linda

I think in this situation "the best cleaners are never seen or heard"

I would treat them as any other people in the house; make sure they're out of the rooms while being cleaned, take the money, leave our paperwork and we're off to the next job!
