Do most services bring their own vacuum or use the customers?

Hello, I am from NW Indiana and I always use our own vacuums. That way if something happens we don't have to replace theirs. One of my customers likes us to use hers but, I told her that we are not responsible if something happens to the vacuum. So, I would suggest you to go to like a walmart and you can get a bissell vacuum for about $40.00 and it works great. Last a long time if you take care of them. You can either get with bags or bagless. I have both and neither one is better then the other. Just depends if you want the added expense of the bags. Hope this helps. Take care and good luck!

This is an area where you can stand out among your competition. How would you feel if you were the customer and the first company said we will use your vacuum so be sure you keep it working and bags for it? Now what if the second company comes in and says, Maam, we will not be using your vacuum nor your bags so that is one less worry for you and less wear on your personal vacuum. We will be using our Miele Vacuum which is very powerful and puts out zero particles into the air which is less particles being put out than most air filtration machines , therefore we will not only be vacuuming your carpet, upholstery, baseboards and drapes but also cleaning the air at the same time. We will also be vacuuming your hard floor surfaces so that no dust will be stirred up by sweeping. With all the health issuses that we face today we feel like this will be a great benefit to you and your family.
Which one do you want to hire if at all possible? The one letting you know that if your vacuum is not that great than to bad or if it breaks than it is not their responsibility or the one who shows care for your belongings, as well as you and your familys well being?
Sure the nicer vacuum cost more but I think if you promote it right than you will get more work and a better job done. This will in return build your name and reputation thus generating more income so that the higher costing vacuum will more than pay for itself. Another option to offer your customer is to have an extra charge to vacuum their mattress to remove dust mites and feces . You can even buy an anti allergen treatment to spary on a mattress after you have vacuumed it. they will sleep much better at night and thank you for the service. As always just my opinion.

Good information. On regular cleans we just purchase a vacuum and leave it at the customers house and instruct the customer to feel free to use it if they want. I think its better than hauling vacuums around from house to house. Special cleanings, move in and move out`s etc. Backpak vacs

I use the customers vacuum for the homes, for sanitary purposes. All the customers like that idea. Plus I don't have to haul one around with me.

If you do need to carry one around the Dyson vacuums work great but run around at least in Canada $500. They are made is the US. In most cases when we went to clean people had central vac and the ones that didn't they had no problems with us using thiers but in some cases some people had crappy vacs so we had to bring one.
