Dear Moderator, This is Josh and I am contacting you again to get some advice about writing a proposal letter to a potentially extra-large company. I contacted a county department that has a huge complex. Thanks to a previous employer, I am familiar with the facility and am not worried about my future biddings. But the Director has asked me to write him a letter. I do not even know where to begin. Please help! How do the big dogs, like yourselves, write and present these "letters"? What should I include in the verbiage or stress upon my reader?
Thank you for your time Josh

I am certainly not one of the big dogs but ;D ;D my presentations are much more than a letter. Our proposal document is approx. 10 pages at a minimum. I would suggest that if all they want is a letter that you initiate it with something like Thank you for the opportunity to present my company for you consideration. Go into your expertise, the history of your company , your qualifications, insurance , etc. etc. End it with something like " I appreciate your interest and look forward to further discussions to build what I trust will be a long and beneficial relationship. Look in the forms section on the IJCSA site and you may find one.
