I have just bean asked to bid on a church that has four classrooms in it. I;ve already bid for the hallways and main entrance, but for the classrooms they want me to move all the desks and chairs. there is ten BIG desks and thirty-five chairs,a big heavy podium an office style desk and four filing cabinets per classroom. Do any of you typically move furniture? Do you charge extra? And how do you bid?
I will be stripping once a year, buffing twice a month, and scrub and re-coat as needed.
Thanks for the help

Moving these type items is hard and takes time. I always tell them to have everything moved before we arrive. If they hesitate at that then I say well we can move them but it is going to cost you an extra $large amount, according to what is going to be moved. I try to charge them enough to make them decide to get volunteers to move it for me.

:)Thank you Dan
Thats what I had in mined but I didn't want to give them an answer like that if most floor people move furniture also. But with how time consuming stripping floors can be I figured most don't.
Thanks again
