I have a customer whome i've been cleaning for about 7 yrs. This past year I started hiring employees. I have 3 now. The turnover can be great at first untill you get the right person or persons. She has met three different workers two of which are not with me anymore. Last week I had 2 new girls with me. She was not happy with this. She was polite to them but i could tell something was wrong. She left for work and called me later on saying she doesn't want new faces at the house, only me. I told her I understood and that I would respect her wishes, but I would always have to have someone with me. So now I need to take the girl that she knows best along with me. I can never let two girls go by themselves. This kinda puts a problem in my schedueling. Has anyone else had this problem where the cusomer eants you and you slone?

I too have had this happen too many times struggling to keep a big job going and find it hard to be in two places at the same time. so I would take another staff member with me to clean to get the job done in half the time. Eventually losing the customer because they only want me.
Now on any big jobs I designate a contact person while I am away doing the jobs that only want me.
I now on any new cleints I tell them that my staff is fully insured and background checked and that I will most likely not be the cleaner, but will let them know in advance who will be cleaning their home.

letting them know ahead of time is the ticket. I think everyone has run into this at one time or another. I try to let thm know when I got for the walk through and estimate that I am growing and it may not be me who does the cleaning, but all staff is personally trained by me, is backgrouhg checked and insured. Also let them know the lines of communication are completely open. If there is a problem ll they have to do is call.
I also think its psychological that if its not you, they will find fault no matter how great a job your helpers did. sucks huh?

This happens all the time. Let them know when you first do your walk through. You have to have great workers so your name will stay untarnished.
