I need help!!! I have a possible job coming up stripping and finishing a 1200 sq ft restaurant. This will be my first time and I was wondering the best approach. If I am alone should I do it in 4 different sections when stripping and scrubbing. How long should it take with 1 or 2 people, Thanks for all the help, Everyone is very helpful Kevin All Point Cleaning Service

Yes < I would break it down into 4 to 6 sections being your first one. You dont want the stripper drying on the floor before or after you have run machine on it. You have to squeegee it off before it dries. So scrub a few feet then rewet area you just scrubbed. Keep an eye on all of floor. An extra person would help you out a lot on doing this.

Okay, This guy told me he only wants a wax and buff. The floor looks pretty dull and rough, I explained to him by not stripping it and putting on a coat of wax it will shine but it will still look dingy. I recommended a strip and wax. I told him I would give him 2 different bids with and without the strip, but after Thinking about it, I might recommend either a strip and wax or just a wash then try to buff......... any suggestions?? I'm open. Thanks Kevin All Point Cleaning Service

If you do put a coat on top of a previous finish try to make sure it is same type of finish. Some finishes will not work to gether good and it may even start to bubble up and come loose after a couple of weeks. If I bid on this I would charge high for a simple wash and wax. That way he might more likely go with a strip and finish. IF not than tell him you make no garantees as to how the finish will react. Also I would recommend a buff and wax rather than a wax and buff. I never buff new finish although several on here may do otherwise.
