Hi No one is answering this question so maybe I should reword it. When you clean in a team of 2 what does each person do and where do they start? same with a team of 3. I know there is some kind of system, plan, method everyone uses thats quick and efficient. What do you tell your employees to do when they get to a house? Please help, whenever we work in a team of 2 we only Knock off an hour we don't cut the time in half. For example, it takes me 3.5 hours alone and 2.5 with helper. I have not tried a team of three I am scared I will lose money if we are too slow. Thanks Trina www.staycleancleaning.net

You very seldom cut the work time in relation to the number of people doing it. For example, a job I can do myself in 2 hours will get done in 1.5 hours with another person. When we ran teams of 4 and five to do large commercial space they were broken down as follows. 1 bathroom specialist, 1-2 light duty specialists and 1 - 2 heavy duty specialists. Initially train the individual for the specific tasks they are doing and then cross train for other duties . For example, the bathroom specialist is trained specifically for bathrooms, proper procedures, efficiencies, etc. even up to using foam sprayer and squeegee and wet vac system. Cross trained then on light duty specialists area ie, dusting , cleaning desks, etc. etc. Heavy duty specialist responsible for garbage removal , vacuuming, mopping etc. And always know that you will never get the same productivity from staff that you get from and expect from yourself.

Hi Trina, When me and both my sisters do a home together I will start on the bathrooms, one will start on the kitchen, the other will start in living room, bedrooms. I also have a checklist. Whatever is left to do when bath/kitchen areas are done we hop in and finish it up. We have never cut the time completely in half Never really understood that, but always ends up around half hour to hour less time. I am extremely picky about bathrooms so I probably spend more time than I should, but I just cant help myself Linda

I'm like everyone else, Trina. The time never seems to be cut in half. How does that work? If I do it myself, it's two hours. If Mardi helps, it's an hour and a half. Don't understand it, but that's always the way it works. I'm the bathroom specialist, too, Linda. Very picky, there. Mardi does Kitchens and moves on. I help out when I've finished the baths.
