"Remember The Start"
Remember awhile back, getting up early in the morning, putting on your nicest slacks and tie, or proper business casual.
Remember telling yourself, today will be the day you find new accounts.
Remember getting all your handouts ready, and making sure you have extra business cards for the day.
Remember getting in your car and telling yourself your going to cold call 30 businesses today.
Remember telling yourself that out of the 30 businesses you stop by and give them a free estimate, 3 or 4 may be really serious in making a switch to a new service, or needing a service.
Remember the feeling of excitement, telling your friends and family that a possible new account is going to go with your company.
Remember buying supplies and equipment just for that account.
Remember the feeling of being worried if you could actually handle the account.
Remember the feeling of the account calling after your first clean, telling you the place has never looked better.
Remember the feeling of that account telling their business contacts of how good your service is, and you getting new accounts based on word of mouth.
Remember the first big check coming in from the big account, remember celebrating with your friends and family.
Time to stop remembering, and start doing again.
The good feelings are always better than the bad. It starts with you first getting up early and making sales calls. The good feelings are so much better than someone saying " No, were not interested.
The economy is coming back. Now is the time to move. Make your next workday a winner. Think positive and remember all the good things that happened before.
