Hi,
I don't have the equipment to do large carpet cleaning jobs. So I have been referring them to a company who refers me. I want to just take care of everything and hire the carpet guy myself. That way customer doesn't have to mess with it and we can complete job. So can I hire them personally as a service for my company since I am sole proprietor. Or do I need to hire as subcontractor. Help
thanx Trina staycleancleaning.net

I have established a relationship with a contractor and whenever I require carpet work done, he gets the call. He has adjusted his rates to make it a win /win for both of us but a word of caution. My contractor's main emphasis is residential and he was way out of the ball park on the pricing of a large commercial job. Make sure that the contractor you sub to is set up both in equipment and pricing to compare with the size of jobs you want him to do.

You can use them as an Independent Contractor.

We use a lot of subs. We are in a large geographical area and have to. Usually it works out well. Just make sure your agreements are very definitive regarding independent contractor status, and non disclosure.

I used to subcontract carpet cleaning, but the hassle always outweighed the benefits. Plus, even though you are subbing the work - the customer expects for you to understand the process. In other words, your customer is going to aks you questions & you may or may not know the answer. In my opinion, it's more prudent to just stick with your main specialty of residential cleaning. Two Maids & A Mop - Serving Birmingham www.twomaidsbirmingham.comThere is a way around having to answer questions . Get with the carpet cleaner you use. Ask him if he will give you 10% of every job you send him. If you can come to an agreement then every time you have a customer ask for that service, simply give them the name of the carpet cleaner you recommend. Have some of their cards and give them a card. Tell them how good they are and that would appreciate it if they told them that you gave them their name. If they ask you any more questions , just tell them you are not a carpet cleaner and that is why you recommend this professional company. Thats it. Then if you know they are going to call the carpet cleaning company , give them a call and let them know you have a potential client that will be calling them. Have them send you your 10% after each job or once a month. This way , you are not losing out completely. If it is a good carpet cleaning company then you have made your customer happy. Just make sure the company you refer to is a good company that can be trusted to do a good job and to pay you your part.

An independent contractor doesn't have the overhanging a large company has, such as allowance or advantages.

Cleaning your carpet should be a priority, especially if you do not want to suffer from health problems.

Updating some of the rooms in your home can be an exciting time. Replacing carpet is just one of the many ideas you can use to update the rooms in your house and it's not all that difficult to do.

With so many cleaning products on the market, finding the best way to clean carpet can be daunting and confusing. But the best method for cleaning carpet is steam cleaning (hot water extraction) not only to get deep-clean results but also to achieve other benefits. Other methods of cleaning are not superior to the amount of dirt released during the hot water extraction process.

When regular vacuuming and spot treatment isn’t enough, use steam cleaning for deep-down grime in carpet. Whether you own or rent one, a steam cleaner is less expensive than hiring someone to clean your carpets.
