Can someone help me with a bid for a 10,000sq ft carpet cleaning. There is a few spots that need to be spot clean before the rest of the carpets. There is about 15 offices and the rest are hallways. The job is for a non profit company. Dave Robinson

Hello Dave! in Michigan we charge 10 cents a square foot , so our price would be $1000.00 dollars, if its heavely soiled you might consider.12 to .13 cents , being a non profit if you wanted to seal the deal you could do it for whatever price you want. But inform them of the actual cost for example you charge them $400.00 and the actual price is $1000.00, You can then get a receipt for donation and use this as a tax deduction. Make sure they are a true Non-Profit though. Heres some info on non-profits www.sourcewatch.org/index.php?title=The_U.S._tax_code_and_non_profits

Ok great so your price is around $1060.00 U.S., Your prices are very similar to what I believe to be pretty much average across the U.S. and your more than welcome for the converter to keep it simple for everyone a pound is worth 1.75 to our dollar.

I guess it really does matter where you are. In my area I would give them the same rate as we would do a church. That would be .16 ft or offer them a bonnet cleaning for .10 ft to save them money.

Hi this is my first reply In Australia I would charge $1500, converted to US = 1321 We charge by the Sqm between $2 - $4.50, bigger commercials $1.50-$2/sqm I think there is 10 ft to 1 sqm. So means .15 to .20c /ft by the way, what time is it over in US.

Kevin is right.
We have a Non-Profit Organization that we Clean and Maintain on Monthly Basis and we got a Tax Deduction for it. It would be nice not to Overprice them because most of the Members of a Non Profit Organization would recommend your Company or they will Hire you for their own Residence as the members usually have Monthly Meetings and Discuss these Topics Regularly if they are Satisfied with your Services.

Jude We do this for several non-profits here, and when they know they are getting a great price, they ask for other work that you can price at the regular rate.
