If you arent doing a complete evaluation of every carpet when you do your walkthrough , you could be losing out on 25 - 30 percent upsells on every job. Lets say you have a 3 room carpet cleaning, you do the walkthrough and you note kool aide stains, carpet wrinkles, and or pet odor ( most homes have all 3) and you dont take a few minutes to explain the benefits you are cheating yourself. Consider how many homes in a month you are seeing just like the scenario I just discussed. ________________________- Lixall

Thanks for the tip. When I saw the title of this post I was thinking you would be recommending increasing your advertising or marketing budgets. I would actually recommend that all service companies consider becoming part of a services supply chain. These supply chains can get you more business without the need for more advertising or bidding. The Integrated Services Group ( www.intsg.biz) is one of these supply chains. Another way to get more business, is to get referral business. This can be one of the cheapest ways to get more contracts and grow your business. I think the best way to do this is to make sure your work is better than any other companies' work in the building. This is how you could get more contracts in the same building which will allow you to save money on transportation costs.
