Is there a specific type of machine and/or brand to go with when cleaning carpets for commercial accounts AND for residential? Could or should a person use the same type of equipment for both?
Also, after doing some reading-I noticed that there seems to be various methods for carpet cleaning. What are some of your favorite methods and can you tell me a couple reasons as to why you utilize one over the other? (ie. bonnet cleaning)
Is there one that seems to assist in closing a sale , in regards to a potential customer who cannot otherwise afford a more thorough carpet cleaning method?
Thanks for anyone's help, again!
Chris

i have both truckmounts and portable HWE cleaning machines. The reason for this is quite simply it works best for me and it is the method i prefer. With regards to different methods in my belief they are all about as good as each other,it is just a case of finding the one that works best for you.A lot of companys can be swayed if you use a dry method, however most off my commercial work is carried out overnight and with the use of turbodryers is always dry in the morning. Try renting a few different machines and find the one that suits you best. Good luck

We use most types of cleaning. Truck mount HWE with a pre scrub works best all around. Some commercial we encap, and the really dirty olofin we extract then bonnet. We use truck mount 80% of the time for commercial, the other twenty we use portables (heat helps, larger capacity is better, 300 psi or more is good, and strong vacuum is a must. As far as portables goes I like U.S. Products cobra 500 & 1200. Great all around but hard to get up stairs.
Residential always HWE. Some people will hire you if you use a different method but they may not have you back. We take a lot of work from chem-dry. It's easy to explain why our method is better, we can offer non-toxic cleaning, and we can get the same dry times.
Good luck.
