Hi Everyone,
We are a new janitorial company and a client recently asked us if we provided carpet cleaning service. Thinking I could just subcontract out the work to a professional carpet cleaning service, I told our client that we could.
I'm now wondering if this is something we can do on our own and learn from. We would like to incorporate this into our business.
I plan to explain to our client when we provide our bid that this would be our first carpet cleaning jobs. My partner has seen the work done but has not been hands on with the process. Do you have any resources or suggestions on how to do this work? Are there things I should watch out for?
This is only for a small office that has about 750 SF of carpet. I was thinking of leasing a carpet cleaner from Home Depot, or a similar establishment.
All the help is appreciated.

Sure, subcontract it out. A good service will cut you in on the profit and want to do repeat business with you. Hire a subcontractor like you would for your own property. Ask for references, and demonstrations of work. Best of luck!
