Stay Focused
Nothing will damage your business more than business myopia or short sightedness.. In order to stay successful, you must always keep an eye on your long term goals and objectives. You will hit rough spots but do not get bogged down in the present. Do not make this mistake. Instead keep your eyes on your target. Stay focused. Every decision, every cutback, every improvement you make now must be beneficial not only in the present but more importantly in the future. Think about this before you slash prices, fire employees, cut overhead, or lower your standards.

Puting a proposal forward for a large commercial carpet contract. On demand basis but estimated at about $150K per annum. Anyone have experience in bidding this size / volume of contract that could help with a pricing structure? Thanks Lee

Hey everyone,
I know this is very tight but i am looking for some other opinions. I am giving a quote for carpet cleaning for a 4052 sq.ft. outpatient rehab. This is in long island, ny. There are quite a few really bad stains. They also want me to shampoo 112 medium sized chairs. I was thinking .23 a sq.ft. for the carpet and $3.50 per chair. There is also a 17 step staircase with 2 landings. I was thinking $50 for that. All together looking at about $1,373.96 plus tax. Do you guys think this sounds good? This is my first big job and I want to make sure I give that "right" price! Thanks for any input!

In our business we price carpet cleaning per sq.meter. We have a list of prices depending on the carpet situation too. We make sure that there is a clear explanation why we charge it that way so that our client will fully understand why we quote it that way. And we don't really compete with other companies price, as long as we price it right then it all good. ;D
