I'm submitting a proposal and was about to include adding salt to the exterior of the entrance. Then I though I might be looking for trouble if someone were to slip and get hurt they might say it was due to the janitorial company not putting enough salt etc.
Opinion?

I think it's a great idea. I would just add a waiver to the service agreement. A good winter add on. Does anyone offer snow shoveling or plowing?

I offer shoveling of sidewalks and plowing of lanes at foreclosed homes i clean for realtors. Through the summer i offer lawn maintenance and through the winter i offer snowshoveling and lane plowing so the realtors can still show the houses.
I charge by the job. depends on how much shoveling and plowing there is. Some homes have small sidewalks and small lanes for 2 cars. And some are long lanes and long sidewalks. So price varies.

I think shaveling works better and then add salt. coz after shaveling you are sure its clean and sallt only helps melt the snow after you leave and it gives u room to charge more.
It will work for u if u are an early starter.

It looks like this client will only want 1/week cleaning, so I'm adding in the salting and shoveling of the front entrance. Maybe I can up sell the shoveling to every snow fall and have a separate charge for that After all, it is just around the corner from my house...

I would be careful about specifying salt however, as the salt breaks down the concrete. I would simply specify snow melter and research the best alternative there. I know urea pellets work good if you have no concern about high concentration of fertilizer burning lawn etc. There are also other alternatives but i don't have my file in front of me.
