Please help! I just did my first construction clean up and charged .15 per SQ. FT. on a 3,500 SQ FT place. I came up with this price only by speaking with the contractor and really needing the job. Does this price sound correct? Also I have to go back for a final cleaning and I'm not sure if it is normal to charge the same price??? Please help? Thank you so much!

I charge .10 a sq. and do it all in one cleaning.

This question is a bit old, but for those of you who are looking for answers to this type of question, here you go. First of all, you didn't indicate what type of building the production work was for. Is it single story or 2 story? Production work on a 2 story would be a little more expensive. Did you include the windows in that price? Regardless, the .15 cents per sq. ft. is, in my opinion, right on IF you included the window cleaning. The first phase, or 'rough clean' does include window cleaning, both inside and out. On the final clean, or reclean, the only part of the window cleaning you will be doing (which will be included in your cleaning price) will be touch-ups on the INSIDE of the windows only. If any contractor has messed up the outside windows after you have completed them on the rough clean, it is their responsibility to clean it. They should have covered any outside windows if they are doing landscaping, painting, pool work, etc. or they risk having the builder back charge them if they have to hire you to reclean them again. Your .15 cents rough clean with windows cleaned, inside and out is competitive. Although, at your final clean you should charge .10 cents per sq. ft. and a reclean should be around $200.
