Good morning: You need to provide a little bit more information. Are you talking about floor maintenance, carpet maintenance, in depth maintenance of a whole premises. Give me some tidbits and we'll try to provide an answer.

Well,.its a residenal cleaning and to avoid sticker shock I feel if the deep cleaning is rotated with the daily cleaning over a two day cleaning , it gets you in the door for more then just one visit.

Correct me if I'm wrong but aren't you just amortizing the cost of the initial clean over the two daily cleanings. My input is that the initial clean is generally to bring a property up to the standards you insisit on, then it is feasible to offer the price for the daily cleaning that you quote. If your initial clean was to cost , say, $150.00, your daily cleaning you quoted $60.00 after it is up to spec, and you use 2 0r 3 weeks incorporating the initial clean into the daily clean it makes very little difference except, you will undoubtedly be spending more time during those daily cleans than you planned on and are therefore losing money. As most of us say that have been in the business for awhile, price is always a determining factor but you MUST make an effort to practice selling quality and not just price. Sell them on the quality of the job not on the price.

Well,.we do a detailed cleaning the first day in the bathroom and a general cleaning of the rest of the house ,the second day it will be a detailed cleaning of the kitchen and a general cleaning of the rest of the house,....the thrid day will be a detailed cleaning of the bedrooms and a general cleaning of the rest of the house .
it should give me an extra day of cleaning I wouldnt have gotten.
and the rotation continues having a detailed cleaning of areas of the house at different times but it gets done.
I provide them with a daily and detailed cleaning system outline.
it wont take anymore time then a normal maintance cleaning.
and the customer should feel like there getting more for there money ....
also with a first time cleaning they get a complimentary jar of my home made Green Cleaning product.
its still in the works I should have it up and running by January. By the way its CENTRAL CLEANING SYSTEMS : The Green Cleaning Experts

I have been cleaning residentials for over 8 years now and all my clients want the initial thorough cleaning done the first day. A lot of times they have a party or guests coming and they want everything cleaned well the first time. I think you would be better off doing it all the first day. It will be a lot easier to keep up with the maintenance cleanings. Otherwise you are going to be there a lot longer on the maintenance cleanings and will lose money on them. Patti

I see and understand what your saying that could be an option the customer could have ,......I wish I could place my cleaning system list on here but unable to,........there isnt much difference but maybe three steps from the daily cleaning to the detailed cleaning,.washing base boards, knick-knacks cleaned, extra attention to shower door and tracking, our daily cleaning list is pretty detailed as well......
thats maybe the reason its only a couple things added to make it a detailed cleaning......

It would take up a lot more of your time and gas. Also its much more impressive to come home and have your whole house renewed. I try to avoid letting them see it before its complete it ruins the surprise. And a lot of my customers schedule to be gone when I clean. They want it done then. They don't want to have to plan 2 days around the cleaning. Thats what I have found anyways. Trina

Its your business. Run it how you want.If this works out well for you, then do it. Why be like everyone else? I always did the intial cleaning in 1 session before. Then started maintenance cleanings after that. But as of August i started rotating deep cleaning over a period of time. I'll deep clean in a couple rooms, and general clean all others, then at their next cleaning ,deep clean a couple more rooms Etc...... My general clean is a pretty detailed checklist,so it didn't really make much difference changing to this way.I'm just not in a home as long. I had to start doing it this way because my youngest started Kdg. and its only half day Kdg. and my oldest started middle school so they get out earlier than when they was in elementary. So i only have a few hours once i get them off to school before their back home again. My main focus is commercial cleaning in the evenings because of this. but i do have steady residential clients i keep as well. I've had no complaints, plenty of referrals, and even got 3 clients this past month because another cleaning company wasn't cleaning up to snuff. And their homes showed it. All 3 clients can't believe how thorough my cleanings are. So i say run it how you want to. Its your business.

Well ,....I didnt think it was going to take anymore time than a maintance cleaning would if its just shy a few steps from the detailed cleaning. Im also thinking about selling my Green Cleaning Products too,.....giving free samples of my products and selling them some in bigger jars and spray bottles ,.......and cutting the cost a bit from the first time puchase (spray bottles, jars) and do a refill for just alittle less.
what does everyone think of that??....good , bad , hold off?

Initial cleanings take twice as long or longer as maintenance cleanings. You would not believe the people that haven't cleaned for months and months. Lots of build up dust and dirt. When we do initials, we clean everything. (wet wash baseboards, clean all wall hangings, window sills, wet wash all doors, remove everything and clean under, clean under beds and furniture, wash all cabinets in kitchen and bathrooms, and a lot more) You will find they are quite time consuming.
