Good Ideas. I was working on a flyer for local businesses for the month of May. I did an ad for Earth Day and had a write up in the paper. I have a few ideas for next Spring already for helping out the seniors. But the local business is great for my e-mail marketing. My business will be in the Father's Day Parade in my local area and will be handing out chip clips with brochures. The only cost is the brochures and chip clips.

I use a program called Art Explosion Publisher Pro that you can buy at Sam's Club. The template is all set up for making a brochure. I do a lot with design and know some designers so making it my self has been pretty easy. Its not the same as having a designer do the work but it is cheaper. I don't like using the same templates as Vista as everyone looks the same. This is part of the reason I can stand out more from the competition. All my materials look the same from web site to business card to brochures. Then I upload it to Vista for them to print. If I only need a few printed I them print them on my laser printer.

For my area I would not be able to get someone to pay that. If the house is in good shape and not much for clutter I would charge $135.00 for the first cleaning. Do you have others that help you out. If so you would have to charge more to pay them. Although I have people that complain when I charge them $125.00 for the first cleaning. In fact I just quoted someone this square footage about 3 weeks ago and I charged her the $135.00 but didn't get the job.

Just wondering from everyone out here if anyone has heard of this web site, www.bidmycleaning.com? Business is slow in my area right now and I'm not getting to many new clients. I have a marketing plan for the year but just came across this site. Jennifer Christenson Dust To Golden Shine www.dusttogoldenshine.com

This is the same question I have. I was just asked to quote a job a little while back. I came in to high I guess. The potential new client told me others came in between $80.00 - 100.00 for a 2,800 square foot home. This would include upstairs and downstairs, not much for clutter but large bathrooms and a large home. I thought that price was to low so I bid it higher. I'm finding that it is all about price not what you really get out of the service. So the way I have it set up is that some of the items to be cleaned don't really need cleaning every other week so I can do a quick check of those items like the baseboards which would keep the price lower after the initial cleaning. My first cleanings are higher than the maintenance cleaning. Does this sound right?
