Landed a local police dept today 3260 sq. ft of stripping and waxing quarterly, and real cool disinfect the cells weekly or maybe monthly still undecided . (they have holding cells) Just wondering if when it is our night to clean if they have some one in the lock-up what happpens. I dont like the idea of the staff being locked in a gbuilding where they cant get out either.. they all said its kinda creepy? any thoughts?

not sure how you will get around this, and i can fully understand staff not wanting to be locked in anywhere,i wouldn`t.I imagine if anyone in cells they will have to be moved into another one while you clean, then moved back when you are done so you can do the rest of cells

Sounds dirty....but tell your staff that you cannot imagine a safer account. I mean no chance of anyone breaking in while you are cleaning or having to call police because some unsavory characters are hanging out in the account parking lot late night??

Wow! I'd probably have to pay premium wages to get any of my people to go back a second time.

Hello , I am sure the cleaner wont be alone , remember police departments are a 24 hour service, there are cameras all over and pointing directly at the cells, not to mention police officers present at all hours , as well as the dispatcher. just make sure it is clear what they expect if the cell has an inmate or an ajoining inmate that is a spitter , ect, ect. they wont let you get to close or them for that matter. have fun with it

if your cleaner gets assaulted while cleaning at the jail they'll have enough cash to start their own company..lol

So far there has not been even the smallest problem. They are moved to other areas, before we get there.
