I recently broke my ankle and found out some very valuable information that everyone could benefit from in here. Especially -new businesses.
After meeting with my attorney, he asked me to provide documents from my clients proving that I had an on going cleaning agreement with them. I could not do it. Yes, I know this is my fault for not having my clients sign a service agreement - that states that the client agrees on the price and indicates that the cleaning is continuous until canceled by the client. So, my advice to anyone that has not documented things as they should - PLEASE do so for yourself before you end up hurt and unable to prove your lost wages.
So, for now I have worked up a service agreement and have to go back to my clients and have them sign it. Sort of humiliating but something I have to do. Please take heed of this advise and save yourself the work and hard lessoned learned.
