???Hi, I would like to know how to hire help for my cleaning business. I would like to know how to pay them, is it hourly or per job or per day. How do I count it. What works. I want to keep them happy and I also want to keep the customers happy and I also want to make a profit. On a monthly basis how much of the % I pay myself, the emplyees and the business and also it is better to have employees or subcontractors (if I have employees do I have to have worker's comp, health insurance and all those things that come with employees) I live in Miami and you can't charge a lot of money a 1bed/1bath is $50. The competition is really tough. Do I charge $45 so I get clients, wiil I still make a profit and pay emplyees at the same time. Please help. I am new. Please help (jeanabe_n@yahoo.com)

-Place a help wanted add -Pay them a wage, the lowest can be minimum wage. The average is $ 7.15 hr Or you could pay them per job, just make sure the amount of pay equals atleast minimum wage for the amount of hours there working. -Add the total amount of hours each employee works multiply by there hourly wage for the total pay or vice versa with how many jobs they perform. - More than likely you will need workmans comp, I do not believe your required to have health insurance. - You can have employees and subcontractors just make sure they are actually a subcontractor or an employee. - Maybe if the competition is so tough you should charge more and offer more. Or you could charge less and offer more. All types of different scenarios for dealing with competition. Hope this helped. Heres a link to IRS Hiring Help IRS Hiring Help
