1. Just a few questions for who ever would like to take a stab at it Should there be an extra cost for vacuuming upholstery? If so how much? I'm new in the biz and i'm not sure what to charge extra for some people will try to keep you in their home all day. how about when they have wood floors or pets these tasks can be time consuming. 2. Any tips on cleaning showers and jacuzzis? especially the jets what cleaning agent? I was using clorox and a scrub brush but then realized the brush can scratch the surface. 3. I'm trying to get some offices now I cleaned two by the same doctor and noticed even though the office was small I went by size but it needed a thorough cleaning do any of you charge an initial visit fee like with homes? or should I just have a fee for thorough cleaning?

Becky It is ok to charge extra for some things but be careful about trying to charge extra for every little thing. Clients will think you are trying to nickle and dime them to death. When we get a home with a lot of wood floors or pet hair I just add the extra into the bid of the home. I don't tell them it is extra for the wood floors or pet hair. Patti

Becky, I would think it would be acceptable to charge an initial cleaning fee if the place had not been cleaned in a while. I also think that I may have bid based on how long it would take instead of by size. Just my two cents.

Becky,
To answer you question about the jets I use an all natural bathroom cleaner from Seaside Naturals and a soft head toothbrush. I hope this helps it works for me
