Blood Borne Pathogen Training

Hello Everyone.

I have a question regarding training for cleaning up blood in medical offices. Some offices are now requiring certification and I have seen that the franchises seem to have a number of medical offices and offer this training as part of their package. Offices are requiring this certification and this is why the franchises are getting so much of this business. I have contacted the Health Boards in the County Seat and different gov't offices ( OSHA etc) but have not gotten a straight answer. I would assume that there is training at EMS Offices, but they have not returned my calls. Any assistance and direction would be appreciated. Thank you.

You as an employer have to offer your employees a hepatitis b shot. You as an employer have to have documented training sessions, also good to get an employee signature at each session. Hold them monthly on all aspects of safety and bloodborne.


According to OSHA guidelines you will then be in compliance. There are also some links below where you can purchase a certification as needed.
