So, the jobs are rolling in, the potential employees are knocking on the door. I'm thinking it's time to stop being a Sole Proprietorship and become a "real" company now. I believe an LLC is the way to go, but I'd like to hear from you all (or y'all for Dan ;D ) first. Any thoughts or suggestions?
Thanks, in advance.

Most companies are forming LLC's now, but I would also talk to your accountant about the possibility of becoming an S-Corp. I've always relied on the advice from my accountants over the years. They know your business and what would be a good financial move for you.

I looked into becoming an LLC or S-Corp this year. My accountant said it would not provide me any tax breaks and really would not be worth it. It is definitely worth a chat with your accountant first.

I was under the understanding that if you filed as a sole propieter that in case of any kind of lawsuit your personal assets are up for grabs. Wouldn't this alone make it worth it to go LLC, at the very least?
