Myself & my partner are just starting a commercial cleaning business. I am trying to find the best way to attract business, gain leads, make bids, basically start to generate income. I have a couple of ads on craigslist, on superpages.com, & yellowpages.com. In process are the business cards, should receive them tomorrow, the website build, & flyer creation. I am not sure how to go about finding businesses that need Janitorial service, facility services, etc. Any help is GREATLY appreciated!!

I would highly recommend a Networking Group. I have found, in my area, they can be somewhat costly, but you should make back your intitial investment without too much trouble. Here in Minnesota we have BNI (Business Networking International). They meet once a week and have other businesses from Insurance to Construction...you name it. It's an excellant way to network and get your name out there. You can find out if they have a chapter near you at thier website: www.bni.com/Good luck!

Networking groups are good - but not the only place where you can speak to people face-to-face.
If you want to make impact quickly there is nothing better than shaking hands and introducing yourself. Not just getting on your hind legs and touring potential clients but telling everyone you meet about your new business. A chance remark can lead to big things.
It is not easy to put yourself 'out there' but who said starting a business was easy?
