I would like to hear from anyone who has tried sending 10 flyers a day to promote their business. What kind of results did you get? Other than the yellow pages, what other ways do you get more businesses?

I only tried flyers once or twice when we first started out. I printed up about 200 flyers and went door to door. Not a single call. Tried it again; nothing. I placed an ad on Craigslist and got 10 calls. That was in one day. Every day I posted, I got at least 3 calls. Granted, not every one tunred into a job, but the ratio was much better than with flyers. One caveat. These were for residential services, not commercial. Hope that helps

Mike, When you handed out your flyers door to door. Your referring to dropping them off on the porch / door hanger or something of that nature. Or did you personally hand them to each and every person?

You are correct, sir. With the odd exception of accidentally catching someone at home, the flyers were simply left on the door knob or in the door.

Kinda figured that. I`ll betcha a buck. If you were knocking on each door, lets say in senior residential / well to do district with three specials and coupons on the flyer. Gutter cleaning Window washing Pressure washing
Your flyer cost of 200 x .07 $14 would net you over $500 dollars for the day.

As soon as my flyers (thinking about going with doorhangers, anyone had any experience positive or negative with doorhangers?) are ready I plan to hit the neighborhoods, and speak with as many people personally that I can. Amy

Also I spent this morning listing in as many online free directories that I could find. Placed my first craigslist posting. We dont' have a craigslist for our immediate area, so I posted in the closest one. Not sure how much business it will generate, I listed all the areas I want to serve, including that area which is 2 counties away. Amy
