Have you ever tried any of the companies that set appointments with potential clients for your services? I see one that advertises here - Cleaningcoach. Anyone had any luck with these? Are they really as good as their websites sound?

I have never heard of anyone who has used such a service. I'd be skeptical of anyone who sells their service on eBay and only accepts PayPal as their method of payment.
It seems a bit ...well... like waiting to achieve best results based on their predictions of making your first profit of a pittance of $74 on month #4 is a money-making scheme!
Buyer beware. I haven't used them but they spell it all out for you. You lose money the first three months no matter what.

Although I have a small residential maid service, I started out with NO capital to work with. Within the first month I was seeing profits because I was very careful as to who got my money. I chose to advertise for free any place I could, promote my website, and sell my services myself.
With hard work and dedication, it can be done. Just keep researching and asking good questions like you are doing and you'll find your way to profits soon!

S.E.E.D.S. an IJCSA sponsor ( www.ijcsa.org/ijcsasponsors.html ) does some telemarketing and lead generation. Regardless of who does it, it is no different than any business relationship. You have to determine if your advertising money will be well spent. Lead generating companies where you pay per lead are beneficial. What these companies do is cold call your areas finding leads for you. Schedule appointments for you or give you direct contact information for a person who might be intrested in your service. Everytime I hear of a new lead generating company my thoughts are the behind the scene process. Some $8hr telemarketer calling hundreds of numbers a day trying to find a janitorial contract. If it was that easy we could simply use our own telemarketers to line up accounts one after the other. Will it work? Sure with a proper phone script, good phone voice, and hundreds of calls a day. I have heard some negatives online along with positive things about Cleaningcoach. They are on my call list for after the New Year. I will find out more information. A less costly aproach is direct sales, direct mailings and direct contact. It all depends on what your budget level is and how much capital you have readily available to invest back into your business.

I never heard such a thing. I always do flyers and pass out my business cards. Oh Craigslist has brought me a TON of customers.
Every so often I get tele's calling me to signup for a 30 day free trial. And I do it to see if I get customers and cancel. I use all the free stuff we can get since we are still asmall company.
