Hello I am considering buying an existing established Janitorial-Carpet Cleaning business. The owners have been in business 19 years. the wife has health issues and the husband only does carpets about 8 days a month due to his 10 days on and 4 off work schedule on his full time job. He is trying to retire and wants out. It has two solid employees one been there 11years other 3years. some of their accounts been there 11-18years. If i get it I plan on keeping Name and everything just as is since I know customers don't like change and then build up in it since they hardly don't do none of the work themselves, it comes with all equipment , van mount extractor, tile grout machine, propane stripper, buffers , vacs , everything. plus ads an yellow pages phone #, they have been turning down biz left and right. it grosses 85,000 they want 45,000. I think this is a good deal. should I get a loan and do it? They will provide training, meet the accounts etc, plus be adviser for 1 year.

I am wondering if anyone can help. I have the opportunity to purchase an existing cleaning company. The main reason I wanted to buy it is that it is already a LLC and has 2 employees. If I buy the company I want to change the name business to what my current company name but have as a LLC. The guy is asking $400 for the company, employees and past customer phone lists. Does anybody think it is worth it?
