Hello Oliver,
If this is the first time the customer has had cleaning done first off i I would charge hourly rate between $30.00 - $50.00 cause you have to get the house in a shape where you can come in the home and do maintenance. once the home is in Maintenance shape you can work out a price that works for you and your client

In the past I have ran into clients that will promise you the moon if you give them a great deal up front. Not all of them , but several are tricking you into working your hind end off and then not letting you come back. Not because of bad work but because they are cons.

It really depends on the condition of the house. We just cleaned a two bedroom apartment and then a two story 5 bedroom, 4 bathroom house and the apartment took us much longer to clean.
I agree with not giving them a great deal up front. That's not going to hook them. Give them the RIGHT price (ie. you are paid for the work you do, you are paid for your business expenses, you are paid for your supplies)
I'd imagine that the average house of that size would run about 100 - 125 for initial cleaning. Someone back me up please.

Yes , I agree. You dont want to put yourself behind the eight ball as soon as you start cleaning for them , then you never get out .

I asked for $150.00 and I throw in a free windows cleaning for inside only. It is 3 bedroom house single story, a kitchen and two batrooms. We finished in 1'30" and I gave him an estimate for twice a month with $130 for each service.
