I remember when I started my service, linen business cards with raised ink was the premium business card. If you never felt one before, they have a quality that goes unmatched. They feel like class.... I remember paying about $125 a box and that was back in the 90`s
Now, linen is out. Now you will see me sporting metal magnet cards. I pay about for a box of 1000 about $175
Now to the new janitorial owner or cleaning service owner. There is one piece of promotion item that you will give away more than anything. That is your business card. Take a good look at what your giving away. If it`s a piece of junk, the first impression your possible customer will get of your company is low budget and low class.
Of course, you want the basic information on your card. All your contact information, logo, services provided, website, email, phone...etc.
I like to personalize my card with my cell phone, reassuring customers they can call me anytime. Most service owners of any service do not do this, as they don`t want to be bothered. To me it`s very important.
Also: Website and Email.... I do alot of business with alot of contractors. If they don`t have a website and email. They don`t get the job. Just my thoughts,... I deal with professional companies, professionals companies have websites with matching emails.

PS: I also see alot of cute little mop & bucket card`s the same boring logo that everyone else uses. Please put some thoughts into your card. I bet someone who accepts alot of bids for a cleaning contract must be amazed that the same cute little mop & bucket logo is used by all the service providers..
PSS I always give everyone I meet four business cards, and say with a smile, please give one to your friends and family.
