What safety procedures do you have in place when somebody asks to enter the closed building you are in? Do you let them in or not? What if any safety procedures do you have in place for your client and your cleaning staff?

Renovare Environmental Services, LLC - Access Policy
With the exception of police, fire, utility and other public safety emergency personnel, access to customer premises will be denied by Renovare personnel unless a procedure is defined and agreed upon beforehand. In the event an individual must access the premises, such as a relative in the case of a home, or employee in the case of a business, Renovare personnel will notify the contact defined in the Service Agreement for instructions. If the contact cannot be reached, access to the premises will be denied.
Furthermore, if entry by Renovare personnel is to an unoccupied building and the premises are discovered unsecured, or there is reason to believe the premises have been breached, Renovare personnel will not enter, but immediately notify the contact defined in the service agreement. If the contact cannot be readched, the police will be summoned by a call to 911.
In summary: If I don't know about it, they're not getting in. I'll call the contact. But if this starts to become a theme, we're going to have work out a formal Access Policy and both of us sign it. I don't upcharge for any of it, but if it gets excessive I'm not going to continue service until I have a formal procedure. I'm a cleaning company, not a night watchman service.
The actual language is more polite than that, but that's the nitty-gritty of it.
Cheers,
John

If they don't have a key they can't get in. We do a lot of dealerships and you can't believe the customers stories we get, I left my wallet, cell phone, purse etc in my car I need to get in the service dept (So and So said for you to let me in) We tell the customers to get (So and So) out of bed to come let them in. Some times we have to call the police.

same as double A. no key, no entrance. when I used to clean restaurants a while back. onetime this guy said he left his keys to his truck on the table. well for one it was 2am the restuarant close at 11pm. i went and checked no key, look on the cash register were they would put keys of customers who forgot them. no keys. I looked out the side window were he can't see me, no truck in parking lot. yelled back ou the door sorry dude no keys, ask if he could come in to look. sorry come back in the morning. then he asked if he could use the restroom. i yelled out screw will you, go piss in the parking lot. when he walk away you could see something in the back of him inside hios coat.
one time a different restuarant in another town that was a bad town, they got everything on film. me and my brother was cleaning it, right when we left 2 minutes later, some guys broke in and were trying to rob the place. the cops said they must of been watching the cleaners clean and waiting for them to leave. they caught the guys. one of them took of his mask while looking for something, and they got his face on camera. one of them was there employee. that was weird finding out we were being watch they whole time by thiefs.
