I have a chance at a contract to do a few offices for our local Marina.....
The Store...which is approximately 1500 sq. ft. - has 2 offices and 1 bathroom....we would be doing the floors (concrete) and dusting the shelves & desks in the showroom too.
The Parts Dept. is another building...a small entry (we'd do the floors (carpet) & clean the counters) and 2 bathrooms.
Sales office is a house....we'd be doing the lobby floors (carpet), dusting, cleaning 2 offices & 1 bathroom...
They want this bi-weekly.....but I'd like to give them prices on weekly too...
Help! What should I charge!

Karen: I can't give you prices because I operate in Ontario , Canada and they will mean nothing for your area. However, let's see if we can help.
1. Sales office, Gave us no idea of size however 2 offices and one bathroom and vacuuming. Assume general cleaning nothing out of the ordinary. Approx. .5 man hours.
2. Parts office: Again no idea of size and whether you have to move stuff on the shelves. Assume general cleaning, edges only or cleared shelf area. vacuuming of carpet , 2 bathrooms say .75 man hours.
3. Store: okay 1500 square feet, concrete floor will mean lots of dust . Again no idea if you have to move product on counters or only dust cleared areas. 2 offices, one bathroom say .5 man hours for thorough cleaning, desks in showroom (how many) add some time and you will have to estimate your time for the counters. If you have to move stuff will have significant impact on man hours.. Also, will you be damp mopping the concrete??? Maintaining the concrete??? Calculate your total man hours times the rate you want to make, add your employer expenses plus materials and then a percentage for profit. Sorry i couldn't be more help.

Karen, seems as your understand the boards pretty well, but this is really hard to read, a changed quote. Sounds like about 4 hours if i`m reading it right? Is the showroom dusty? You kinda threw me for a loop. Maybe start over? What are you thinking about charging?

You kinda threw me for a loop. Maybe start over? What are you thinking about charging? Ok.....the showroom & store is all totalled about 1500 sq. ft. This includes 2 office areas (3 or 4 desks), and 1 bathroom. I will be dusting all accessible areas....shelves, desks etc....and doing interior windows, and of course cleaning & disinfecting the bathroom...vacuuming, and mopping the concrete floor... Building #2- The parts office lobby is just a very small entry way (maybe 12' X 14')...this will be dusted, vacuumed...and the counter cleaned. There is also an office area (small...3 desks) behind the counter that I will be dusting & vacuuming.....there are 2 bathrooms in this area also... Building #3- The sales office is a very small house...I will be dusting & vacuuming the 12'X12' lobby area....and also 2 offices and 1 bathroom.... They want this bi-weekly.... I was thinking around $300 per visit? Of course I'd bill monthly.... Does this sound anywhere near right?

Sealed concrete makes all the difference.
Michigan $250 a month / $125 Per visit / 4 Labor hours per visit/ one person / $9 supplies per visit included / windows included inside and outside free.
I`m thinking sealed as in painted also(showroom floor), if not and oil stains or what have you has to be removed, would charge an extra hourly and chemical fee.

Is it a really really long drive or walk between buildings? Are you including a travel fee between the three areas? True gas prices are high. Just the price we would charge, ballpark, your price might be higher. Best of luck
