Well it sure wasn't the first time but an issue with an employee last night really made me think that our crews need some help with what I believe are just common sense issues Maybe a "if this happens...do this" type list. I had to switch a cleaner from one building to another last night, anyway this lady comes in to find her dust mop in bad shape. She calls the other employee ( our float or lead cleaner, etc guy ) to ask whats up or if there is another dust mop in the building.
Long story short this lady waits around 1/2 hour for him to bring new dust mop heads, decide she cannot wait & lets him know that there are 3 room left to dust mop & damp mop. This all put the guy behind with an already decent load.
Now, why didn't this lady use one of the 10 regular brooms on site or vacuum the tile, & leave us a message that she needs another head

How about a list like this one:
If "something" happens, use common sense. If you don't have common sense, please see me after your shift to start filling out some paperwork (dismissal forms)...
Seriously, it's amazing how some people have no sense of being proactive. Unfortunately, making a complete "If this happens" list would use up three full grown Oak trees...
