Hi Everyone! I've been wandering around here for days getting all sorts of information. Thank you for all your help - it's difficult to find advice!
I own a small carpet cleaning company and we've just been offered a chance to bid on our first janitorial job.
Here's the info on it:
1400 sq.ft. - all carpet
divided into 10 cubicles - all have phones. computers, desks, one filing cabinet
Front lobby area has large desk, three shelves, 10 plastic chairs
Two tiny offices in back of store (7 ft. by 7 ft.) - each has one computer and a desk
One bathroom - tile floor, one toilet, one sink, one mirror
15 trash cans
One large front window (normal strip mall size - don't know exact meaurements - maybe 10 feet wide)
They would like the following to be done on a weekly bases:
Wash window Dust all cleared surfaces Vacuum all carpet Clean bathroom Empty trash Wipe down lobby chairs
Do you guys have any idea of what a good range would be for this? The problem is that I have no idea how long it will take because we've never done this type of cleaning before (like I said, we've only done carpets up to this point).

Well since I operate in Ontario I won't get into prices but based on the info you've given, (you need more detail ed specs to get a good feeling for what needs to be done) I would estimate no more than 2 man hours for labour, probably more like 1.5 hours . For me, this would probably fall into the minimum charge range of $45.00 per occassion.

Thank you Bill. That's around what I was thinking ($40), but I didn't know if I was way off. I really do appreciate the help you give on here (and that others give). It's rare to find people who are so forthcoming with newcomers!
