Hi,
I could really use some help bidding on a school addition. We have been asked to bid on the final cleaning. It is 20,000 sq. ft., and 2 stories.
1st floor has 11 classrooms, 2 restrooms
2nd floor has 9 classrooms, 3 restrooms, and a kitchen.
We are required to vaccum all carpeting, wash tile in hallways, clean all of the woodwork (doors, baseboards, moulding around doors and windows, crown moulding in hallways), dust walls, clean bathrooms, countertops and cabinets in kitchen area, clean stairway.
We also need to clean 58 windows inside and out and most of them are oversized.
For new home construction cleaning we get .21 per sq. foot but I am not sure what to bid on this job. They are also working on a 30,000 sq. ft. addition to the school, so if we were to get this job I am sure that we would have a good chance on getting the other.
Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Debbie In my area if I didn't have to do any stripping and waxing i would get somewhere between .12 per sq. foot and .18 per sq. foot, it would all depend on the condition the building is left in, if i had to work around subs, the amount of woodwork and the amount of windows. This price would include the interior and exterior windows up to 12 foot

Thanks Cindy,
We won't have to do any stripping or waxing since the addition is new. It is only for the final clean. I am still not sure if I should bid on the project. The 2nd floor windows are 40 feet high and since there are 58 of them that alone will take some time. I am thinking that if we do bid on it I might sub out the window cleaning. I am planning on making some calls this week to see how much that will cost. I need to have my proposal in by next weekend.
